Fireflies are the smartest / We're oh-so very bright / Our wit and whimsy know no bounds / Our knowledge spreads through light Follow this light I shine to see / Creatures doing things right / It's time to meet my gifted friends / Drawn up in black and white.
The beaver is skillful at cutting down trees. / The catfish can vacuum the floor of the seas.
The kangaroo baby sleeps in mom's drawer.
The pelican fishes the oceans, off shore.
The carrier pigeon is so skilled at flight. / He'll deliver his letter by day or by night.
A praying mantis can take a life / Her dangerous arms are sharp as a knife.
The rooster reliably wakes people up. / As sure as strong coffee that steams in a cup.
Turtles move slowly wherever they roam. / The shell on their back is their own mobile home.
Cows give us milk that's creamy and fresh. / The fierce, angry badger will fight to the death.
Rabbits will multiply all day long / Although their arithmetic's most often wrong.
Camels store water in humps on their backs. / The chameleon's long toungue...
